  Introduction to needle nose pliers

Needle-nose pliers are also called: trimming pliers, needle-nose pliers, needle-nose pliers or needle-nose pliers. It consists of a tip, a knife edge and a pliers handle. The material is generally made of 45# steel, which is medium carbon steel with a carbon content of 0.45% and suitable toughness and hardness. Needle-nose pliers are one of the typical tools that use the principle of leverage.

Needle-nose pliers are used to tighten screws and some screws in places that are inconvenient to reach. In fact, they can be replaced by sleeves, but the needle-nose pliers also have the function of cutting and pulling the wire heads.

The clamp handle is covered with an insulating sleeve with a rated voltage of 500V. It is a commonly used pliers tool. It is mainly used to cut single-stranded and multi-stranded wires with smaller diameters, bend single-stranded wire joints, strip plastic insulation layers, etc. It can be operated in a narrow working space. Those without a cutting edge can only clip. For pinching work, the one with a blade can pinch and cut small parts. It is one of the commonly used tools for electricians (especially for assembly and repair work such as internal wiring equipment).

It is generally operated with the right hand. When using, hold the two handles of the needle-nose pliers and start clamping or cutting work; when using, be careful not to point the blade towards you, put it back to its original place after use, and place it in a place that is not easy for children to reach. , to avoid injury; when needle-nose pliers are not used, the surface should be coated with lubricating and anti-rust oil to avoid rust or the fulcrum becoming astringent.

After each use of the pliers, there will be wear marks on the cutting edge, so it is recommended to clean the dirt after use and apply oil for maintenance to prevent the cutting edge from aging and oxidation. It is not recommended to grind the cutting edge yourself because the hardness of the cutting edge is different from the hardness of the plier body. The cutting edge is tempered. Therefore, some pliers become less useful as they become worn.
