What is the power of a chainsaw?
The power requirements of chainsaws vary by type and use. Here are the power requirements for different situations:
Household chainsaw. It generally requires about 1200 to 2500 watts. Specifically, the motor power of a household chainsaw is usually in the range of 1 to 3 horsepower (1 horsepower equals 735 watts).
Small electric saw. For example, household electric chain saws or electric circular saws generally have power requirements between 1,200 watts and 2,000 watts. For daily use at home, a 1600-watt circular saw is usually sufficient.
Professional and desktop chainsaws. The motor power is generally above 2000 watts.
Hand saw. The peak battery power should be no less than 2000 watts, and the continuous output power should be no less than 1000 watts.
Commercial use and heavy duty work. The chainsaw used requires more power.
